Well, the problem is that out of the 13 polar bear populations in Canada, 11 are increasing or stable, and only one appears to be adversely affected. Also, the highly alarmist UN orginization IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) predicts a seal level rise of 24 inches. If all of Greenland's ice melted, it would mostly collect into a giant bowl created by its own sheer weight. Antarctica is cooling. What warming would do is extend the growing season and hopefully put me in planting zone 8.
Also, polar bears didn't go extinct during the massive medieval warm period or the Roman warming, both of which were HIGHLY beneficial to mankind. As for my opinion of Al Gore...
Also, even if we stopped emitting all carbon, it would do no good. The warming is quite natural. In fact, during the early 19th century when Co2 was minimal, there was a warming, then in the '70s when concentrations were much higher, there was a slight cooling. Then there was another recent warming. For good books on the subject, read The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming and The REALLY Inconvenient Truths. They totally make a joke out of manmade global warming.
