Happy New Year LucyHappy New Year's Eve, everyone! 2020 has definitely been a different year, and it has been pretty rough at points. But one thing that I’ve learned, and will never forget, is how special each life is, and how unique each person is, and that the time we get with those people should be cherished.Anyway, on to the fluffy chickens! Today, I did let them out to get some grass for 8 minutes with me standing amongst them, rake in hand. I know, I probably shouldn’t have, but some of the girls clearly needed a break from their VERY muddy run. It’s been drenching, pounding rain for the past few days, so their run has been pretty bad. (Need to get that covered part up as soon as the storm lets up!) Also, I got my chickens a brand new waterer, which is 5 gallons and is pretty nice, so I think they’re enjoying it. Also, Mochi needs some help, as you’ll see in the pictures, she’s covered in mud! I’m thinking about giving her a bath or something of the sort.
Also, their feeder needs a nice washing, it’s caked in mud. So. Much. Mud!
Sorry, I’ll stop complaining now.Mud does happen to be part of life when you're living in a very rainy spot - but I love it just the way Washington is, earthquakes, mud, and all.
