Cochin Bantams and Frizzle Cochin Bantams!!

Thank you! I appreciate your words of wisdom. I have heard the Frazzle is very delicate, I may not even have Frazzles, here iis a couple pics...what do you think?

Can't get a good pic the Black just cause he is Black and don't show up.
Both have thin pointy feathers more like sticks.
I think both are roosters, I would not want to hurt them so need to learn more, but I have plenty of time.
Thank you TeaChick, Cheryl

Oh, as you can see these two have super vulture hocks......and don't be afraid to say what you REALLY think. Are they just too terrible to breed to ANYTHING?
Just for me and my pleasure, thought I'd try it, but if you all say NOT I won't.

They look like frizzles to me, but I'm no expert. As far as I know, frazzles end up with feathers that are almost like hair, and frizzles end up with feathers that are like curly feathers.

I just got some chicks and it looks like one is a smooth banty and another is a frizzle maybe LF, the other two are in between on size, but are frizzled looking. We'll see. Like you said, I have plenty of time to find out. =)

I'm not afraid to say what I think when it comes to the well being of animals or children or anyone else who can't speak up for themselves. I don't know enough to say and you're right about having time yet. Also, I think you're doing the wise thing to use that time to do research and get advice!!! =D

If they are frazzles, obviously I wouldn't breed them. I think you may just have to wait, but I think they are frizzles. Really you can breed them to anything you want for just your pleasure. If you are wanting quality Cochins, I wouldn't, because of the VHs. But if you are just looking for some pets breed tem to some smooth feathered Cochins.

I'm not so sure those are vulture hocks. Cochins have very long feathers around their hocks but that doesn't automatically mean they are vulture hocks. Someone commented on a frazzle having feathers like hair. That's incorrect. Silkies have those kinds of feathers. Frazzles have thin, brittle feathers. The buff/red chick looks like it might be a frazzle, but you will just have to wait and see.

I was going with what the owner said. I can't see the pic well enough. They said these two have super vulture hocks so I took there word for it.
