Cochin Bantams and Frizzle Cochin Bantams!!

google it...it's a difference in the mix of birds...they are all cochins mix with??? something...I was studying that the other day but don't remember...I have 2 frizzles 3 weeks old

I just question on them whether they are roos or not...sometimes I think they are the next day looks like a pullet.I wish I knew the background roo of the 5th one...I know hen was a blue with some gold around neck leaking thru...the lady I got them off said the a red frizzle and a calico looking roo was running with them...

Can anyone explain the difference between a sizzle and a frizzle?

Easy to remember....Sizzle starts with an "s" because it should have a top hat like a Silkie and dark skin but not always, depending on breeding. Frizzles are usually any breed that have the curly feathers added in. Some people cross Silkies with Frizzles (quite often Polish Frizzles) to add the gene in for curly feathers and then on down the line breed out the other breeds traits and hold onto the Silkie traits to make better Sizzles.

Its a blue millefleur pekin, here in the uk we call bantam cochins pekins. I think shes going to grow up lovely! Or I hope so. Her name is fergie

3 above were appx 2 weeks ago and the bottom two appx 1 mo ago, I will try to get new ones soon-- Sorry it took so long - i tried to help a feral cat that had gotten hit by a car and ended up with 15 stitches and a popped tendon with a pin inserted in my hand so i am a little gimpy

I agree!! The frizzled Mille's are just gorgeous. I also sec ond that Peppermint and Oz would like to see what their father looks like. I'm pretty sure they really miss him.
