Cochin Bantams and Frizzle Cochin Bantams!!

You did spell it correctly. Matt has helped me out in the past too. A REAL Breeder and exhibitor of quality Cochins. Now only does Blacks and Mottleds in Cochins. He has some really nice Wyantdotte Buff Columbian Bantams also.

I may be a little impartial now- I think he has some beatiful Cochins. He is really nice too. I didn't get to see any of his wyandottes

I need some cochin advice please. I bought several bantam chicks and ended up with
A boy and girl white
A boy and girl buff
2 black ( not sure of sex yet)
A blue boy

My son is very attached to the blue boy cochin and wants to keep him. I have 1 coop that will also have some mille fleur d'Uccles. So which Cochins would you keep to add to the coop? I am attached to all the chicks but must be reasonable and can't have all of the. I do want to keep the blue if possible. I need to decide soon because they need to leave the brooder and go into the 16 x 6.5 coop

HI! I'm new to Frizzle Cochins. I got a little black Frizzle Cochin hen and Sizzle Sunday. They are so tiny! They make my Silkies look like giants! Anyway, they have a lot of feather loss (the Cochin just has a bald head). When she looks better, I'll post a pic. I know next to nothing about Cochins, so bare with me, please.

Blue and Blacks breed together better than any of the others would with a Blue in my opinion.

The bald head could be caused by frostnip/bite. I have 2 frizzles that I got and both are healed now but did have frostnip and now are bald on their heads. Not sure if it will feather back up but they sure look funny

bargain! They r proper cute. How old r they? The missing feathers are probably just from feather pecking. If you give them a bit of extra protein in their diet then the feathers will grow back nicely at their next moult. Are your silkies large fowl? X

Thanks! Luckily, I use "Feather Fixer" in my mix of food. The black one is about 2, and the Sizzle is probably about 8 months or so. The guy said that she just started laying. My Silkies are bantams, and smaller than the other Silkie bantams that I see at the shows.
