OK, I'm confused now. We have 3 RED cochin hens, but all I saw was red bantam. They aren't bantams. We also have a barred cockerel, and it didn't say anything about him. Is he not a recognized color?

Reds are only "recognized" in Bantams; Barred are recognized in both Bantam and Large. Just because a variety isn't recognized doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Yes, but it should not be able to win any further than out of it's color variety; i.e. it could not take best of breed.

Here's another colour they don't reconize but shes a cochin. Her colours called Mauve (Chocolate Blue)

She is adorable. As for colours not recognized, can you enter any colour mottled bird in the mottled category? i have a mottled partridge but have never seen any entered into any cochin category.
