Cochin Chickens and hatching

Hello Peeps!

I am a new member to Back yard chcickens. I currently have two egg laying ISA warren hens, a breeding pair of very attractive call ducks and 2x Blue and 2x Black cochin hens. I have fallen in love with my Cochins as they have a perfect temperment and gentle characters. I have purchased an incubator and some Blue/Black Cochin hatching eggs and I am going to give it a go at hatching some chicks cant wait!!. This is due to the lack of availability of a Blue/Black Cochin cockerel in my local area of North Yorkshire. united Kingdom.
I would love any help or advice with regards to Cochins and hatching chicks feel free to post me.

from Alabama. Glad you joined us. Make sure you check out the Incubating & Hatching section - lots of information in there. The only tip I can think of right now is to use a hygrometer; it makes a huge difference & always calibrate it. Good luck and hope you have a great hatch
