Hi guys,
From what I've read cochins that feather in slower are often cockerels. I have 3 cochin bantams, labeled in the photos, and my son's chick Cluckles is still pretty fluffy compared to the other two. His/her comb is also a little more pink....but all combs are pretty well about the same size I'd say....

What are your thoughts?

I really hope they are all hens, they are just so so sweet, especially Cluckles

Is still a little to early to tell, but some people might have guesses. :thumbsup

I hope so. I've read in a lot of places that some people can tell with cochins as early as a few weeks but generally 4-5 the combs show signs.
At least with these guys I can look for signs, my silkies drive me nuts haha waiting to know is so hard some days

Cochin boys tend to show their colors quite early. Right now I don't feel confident saying either way. The wattles look like they're coming in pretty red though.

The bantam cochins are almost 7 weeks now. This morning I watched one that I've grown very attached to crow(ish), multiple times :( I'm still hoping maybe she was just trying her big girl voice out....denial lol

But the one in that picture hasn't. He does run up systematically to all the other chicks and challenge them every day. They all seem to challenge each other and play, but he's different in his approach

What do you guys think about this sweetie? She has always held herself more horizontal in comparison to the other roo. Doesn't challenge other as often and just didn't come across rooster like at all. But this morning I swear when I took their cover off she was trying to crow. :(
