Bantam Chickens on a Pocket Prairie
How exciting! This is my favorite, I hold her every day. So normally she is held, never on a surface when I have her out, so the giraffe neck is an anomalyIt's not a cochin

Your little black one looks like it might be a bantam cochin. The other two look d'uccles to me.I got mine in a mixed bantam box as well.. I think these three are all the same breed. Ages 1.5 weeks(brown), 2 weeks (white), 3 weeks (black)
Silver colored looks like a porcelain d'uccles. I don't see cheek puffs on the little gold one, so it may well be a booted bantam (d-uccles without the extra floof around the face.) either way, they're nice little birds. My one booted bantam hen was the sweetest little thing in the coop! They are 2 weeks old and are bantam. I thought they were cochins, but now not sure?
Yes, absolutely not. I honestly am stumped as to what it is though. Looks like it has possible muffs. Color is throwing me off as well. It's not a cochin
I am having trouble getting her cheeks to show up with her coloring, but they are definitely sticking out, same as the other two chicks. BUT! This bird didn't have a speckle of anything other than black when I got her. And then this golden orange started coming in. And its on her chest, back, wings, feet. The black is sort of fading out, not as deep black as before. She flies VERY well.Yes, absolutely not. I honestly am stumped as to what it is though. Looks like it has possible muffs. Start a new thread in a few weeks and post updated photos. I'm committed and curious now lol.I am having trouble getting her cheeks to show up with her coloring, but they are definitely sticking out, same as the other two chicks. BUT! Ok I think I got some better shots of her..Start a new thread in a few weeks and post updated photos. I'm committed and curious now lol.
I got her from a bantam box at a pet store.. my intention was to get silkies, but all they told me was 5 toed hairy feet, and I had to sort through the **100** crazy running around chicks! So I did get two silkies, but this one, I just mistakened a large feather coming in for a toe.Gosh she's adorable. Definite muffs! How many toes does she have and where did you get her? I think I remember reading (on here somewhere) of a Silkie mix that a/some hatcheries were producing.
