Cochin Thread!!!

Would someone be kind enough to critique my LF Cochin pullet. She is 22 wks old. I cant learn without asking. Good points as well as the bad ,please. My feelings wont be hurt. These are my first chickens and I have fallen in love with the quiet temperment and friendly ways.

Would anyone happen to know of anyone that sells the Standard Cochins in Louisiana? It seems to be very hard to find this breed in either size down here.

He is in Oklahoma but close to the border. If you want good Cochins he has them.

Oh dear me, she's horrible. You should probably send her to me.

Actually, for not quite 6 months I think she's lovely.. nice tight wing set, beautiful head, good chest and depth of body, looks like she'll have a good cushion. -- I hope someone else chimes in because I don't actually have large fowl yet, but I love her. Seriously, you should send her to me.

She's pretty. By 6 months though, I would like to see more depth in front and wider throughout. It may come with age depending on her line.

Nancy, I love him!!! The two calico boys are doing well, one more week of quarantine and they get to graduate to the outdoors on a hopefully nice day! The wind has been terrific here and it is so cold today.
That's great! Glad they are settling in. The wind finally died down here today, only to be replaced with snow

I think she's lovely. Mine take until a year (or more) to fully develop. That's why I have to keep them so long. I have re-homed some too soon & lived to regret it.

Thank you for your comments. Would depth & a wider body be slow because she Free Ranges 12 hrs a day? Or can it come on with her eventually going broody? Thank you . I think "Puff" is pretty too.
