Has anyone experienced black feathers turning white? My new roo has a couple foot feathers that I noticed a few days ago that are white or half black & half white. I never noticed it when I first got him a week in a half ago. He is black and has been kept in alone in a straw bedded cage.

Possibly an overly black mottled. Here is my mottled-

It's not uncommon, but not desirable for solid Blacks to have a foot feather or two that has white on it or is all white. As I said not a desirable trait.
