Cochin Thread!!!

I am in LOVE with my two Cochins but especially my splash. I am new to chickens and I purchased 5.
2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Cochins, and an Austrolorp. And so far my favorites are the Cochins! I was planning on the BOs being my favorite, but now they are the least.
Here is my baby girl she's about 2 1/2 weeks

Maybe it's just me, but I think I might want to show her! Her feathers are gorgeous!! But I know nothing of whats normal and whats not. I do know that compared to my gold laced her legs are twice as fluffy.

Poor girl her sister is showing her up as of now. But what do y'all think

Her little feathers look like snowflakes on her feet

Is she just extra Pretty or is my gold laced just a late bloomer she's a little younger but my splash was bigger than her at her age?
Btw I took about 30 something photos in the past 5 min of her those were the best ones.

Thanks y'all ! I'm so glad she has a pretty personality too. She will let me do just about anything to her and is so relaxed all the time. She's completely opposite of the others. Is it too early to tell if I could show her ? Lol I know it's so soon but I'm soo excited to see how she turns out!

Just wondering if you guys think that my little Roo is a Cochin or a Cochin Mix. I'm going to have to re-home him since I can't have Roos where I live, but I figured it would be better for the new owners to know what he is. He is 9 weeks old. Got him with a bunch of mystery chicks from a preschool hatching. He does have black feathers coming in under his wings, on the tail, and on his legs.

he looks a whole lot like my mille fluer D'uccle chicks. Maybe he is a D'uccle mix.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank the Officers, Directors and Members of Cochins International for your well wishes during my recent and sudden lung surgery and hospital incarceration. Thank you for the beautiful flowers, which truly brightened my spirits. Thank you for your patience, as we had to put on hold the Club business that is my responsibility. Special thanx to Craig, Jamie, Becky, Annamay and Shylee - I couldn't have made it thru the past month without your special thoughts and deeds. Thanx to Bill Post - such a trooper for hanging in there and waiting for me to get the Online Show back on track!

I am so fortunate to belong to the Family that is Cochins International - what a blessing you all have been when I needed you.

Recovery is slow when you are 59 - but I am back at work now, both at my real job and also for CI. I'm not fully up to speed yet, but getting there day by day. Working thru all the meds and pain killers is a real treat!

So - back to business!! I am still missing many Breeder Directory forms (and Ads!!). I know May 31st has come and gone, but you can still send them in to me. If you lost your forms, please email me and I can email a new form back to you.
