So, so sorry.

The injured one (Caroline, my favorite) didn't make it through the night despite all my TLC. She couldn't recover from the shock. I never found the missing bird. Even sent the dog out to look for her, she indicated nothing.   She probably hid somewhere & died. All I have left is a trio, only have a few eggs to try (desperately) to incubate. If I'm extremely lucky I might get one chick out of that. No way I can replace what I lost. If anyone even has a bird that beautiful they wouldn't sell her for less than a million dollars. I am screwed. This may be the end of Funky Feathers Fancy Poultry Farm.

It's not the end even if it seems that way. It sucks to start over, but I know you can do it! You've helped so many people out, I'm hoping others can help you. Everyday will get better, even if it doesn't seem like it will. Hugs to you and chin up.

sorry for your loss I lost my ameraucana on Christmas also. Nothing like finding your pet beheaded in the snow. It truly is the worst feeling.

My big guy Blueberry finally got his hackles back. His had an embarrassing molt, but he is looking his normal self now. I love him. ....

His butt is also very floofy now..

When does a cochin hen cut the cord??? They are as big as she is now. Lavender is a standard cochin, so that tells you how big her 11 week old chicks are.
