That's what my bantam silver laced cochins look like at 2-3 months. Look silver laced to me
Don't exist. Those who own them breed them and do not sell them they breed them. Get on a waiting list with John Burgess, Nancy Compton or any other breeder who does well with them.
Does anyone have pics of baby Silver laced and also Mottled? I have several chicks and don't know what to expect from them. They are real young, and it is making me crazy trying to figure what they will be? Some are real white faced and some are dark headed with tinges of red/brown on head.
I'd sure appreciate seeing some pics of some chicks that you KNOW are a certain color.

I just posted this on the mottled thread, but here are some examples of mottled chicks, younger and then a bit older. The lighter one in the top photo is self-blue mottled, and in the bottom photo several of them are a very dark blue mottled otherwise all the regular black mottled.

I think mine sort of resemble those but not the same mine look like Pandas with out the black ring on the eye.
And I'll have to get some pics but when I picked one up just now to examine it I noticed that it only has half a wing set of feathers. I wondered about it, there are two chicks like this , they seemed to hold their wings real high, but when I stretched it out they only have the flight feathers. The secondary feathers are just about non existent.
Is this very common? Or a really weird bad defect?
I also got two other chicks which were pure black, and they are growing up to be pure black.
These chicks are the same age but the black has feathers and tail and the Pandas are still baby fuzz and look like they are half as old, but BIG. Both kind are the same size one just appears a lot younger by the lack of feathering.
I might as well tell you I also have yet another kind of Cochin Bantam that looks like it might be silver laced or?????

This next one is the Black...I THINK it is a Cochin? It sure has feathered legs/feet. It is the same age as these others but MUCH more feathers
