Hi! I'm considering this breed to add to my flock. Anyone near Atlanta with chicks or who will ship hatching eggs? I'm interested in large fowl and would consider several colors. I'd love silver laced, or barred. Any suggestions? I have silkies (silver partridge and white), ameraucana (bbs), easter eggers, OEGB bb reds, 2 millie duccle hens (theses 2 are for sale). I'd like at least a trio of the same color, maybe a 4th hen.
There you are! I was planning on waiting until the morning...not sure if I can wait that long though. All the air cells look great. It's so hard to be patient when it comes to incubating lol@billiejw89
When are you loading your incubator?? I'm debating tonight or tomorrow morning.
Getting ready to put 6 LF partridge cochin eggs in the incubator. My son is beyond excited. He had one from his cackle surprise box this summer but sadly she died. It was his favorite one! So I'm hoping all goes well and he will have more soon!
I bet they will be cute for sure! can't wait to see what you get.Ooh partridge are gorgeous!
I ordered Serama eggs and received them today. And I have a new pullet (possibly 2) laying that are in a pen together. The rooster, I thought was full blue frizzle bantam cochin, until he threw some bearded offspring with my chocolate orp/and or cochin hens (I'm not positive who the mothers are). I love the way they developed, so I separated all the bearded/muffed ones with their dad, so I'm going to hatch a few. Technically they are mutts, but they have a definite cochin/orpington look! Just with beards and muffs! So I'm curious to see what the offspring look like.![]()

I have 1 buff bantam cochin roo and 1 white bantam cochin hen. We love them.
I love blues! I'd love to see pictures!I have blues, blacks, mottled rooster, and a 5-week old calico (or mille?) chick.
I think it's one of the black pullets' eggs I will be incubating.
I'll find some pics of them.
