Cochin Thread!!!

IMG_4987.JPG Hello!! Question about coloring for all you "cochin folks" :)

What color is this girl? She as gifted to me a couple weeks ago and I think she's beautiful but I can't decide what color she is...red laced black? Maybe? My others are black, and one silver penciled, so I'm having trouble with this one..

Thanks so much! :bow:D

She's a Partridge Cochin. I have one.

I really really need to actually get a picture of my little one. I have a 2 month old partridge cochin named... well... Partridge. She's a sweetie and mostly fluff right now and very little. Which reminds me, I've been meaning to ask, and this might sound completely stupid I know. Since I've never had bantams before, when do they max out in size? Obviously they're going to be a lot smaller than my Wyandottes, but I've been a bit worried that they might be too small. Or am I going nuts? Pictures when I can, but my two bantams are like little sparrows compared to everyone else.

Bantam cochins generally reach full size between 6-12 months.

Hi :) beautiful birds :) I'm new to this site and new to having chickens. I just picked up these 2 cuties last night and told they were Cochins bantams but they don't look like any I've seen. The closest is the partridge and they don't have any fuzz on there legs or feet. The woman said they were a week old but they look very small do a week. Thank you for any input :)
