Cochin Thread!!!

Just wanted to share one of my white cochin pullets got a 1 @ our show ! Some hard work paid off.

It is a splash. You can see darker shaft color on the foot feathers top pic
and the wing feather, bottom pic. Lavs have white shafts.
Also, she has yellow skin and the Lav's you are seeing right now
have white or grey from the cross to get the color.
There are also darker flecks of color on her feathers.

These buff colombians need work to but i only have 1 hen but i am going to try and raise as many as i can off of her.

Beautiful birds, wish I had one of your Buff Colombian roosters. I have 3 Buff Colombian hens that need a boy friend LOL! I just got a white frizzle rooster for them until my buff barred cockerel is old enough to breed and then. Maybe then I can hatch a nice one at least to get a start with. I have been using them with my Mille Fleur Cochin rooster so not all is lost with them. Have hatched some pretty chicks from them, will love watching them bloom into color this winter.
