Jamie Matts has some Splash Frizzle Cochins for sale. Not sure of the sexes of them, he just asked me to help get the word around he had some birds for sale. He also has some White, Black, and Blue birds. And does anyone know where I can find a Red Frizzle Pullet or two and a smooth Red Male bird? I have been looking for awhile now and I cant find anything available, and if I do it gets bought before I can get the cash together. Someone please help me out, I really want to work with this variety and help improve it.

I know you would prefer a breeder but if you are having a hard time finding a red frizzle then I suggest MPC.
I got a really decent girl from them a few years back and have totally enjoyed her. She has given me numerous gorgeous babies but I have only crossed her to my buff blue Silkie roo. I hope to soon put her with one of my MFC roos.

Please don't tempt her she is my DD and after almost 2 years of having chickens and picking on me about being a crazy chicken lady she caught the bug when we bought 3 bantam's from tractor supply that everyone on her told her were cochins she now has joined byc and has a list of breeds she wants. I am at my limit.

I do like the splash color chicks. She has one Cochin that the yellow is turning gray and the black is lighting to a darker gray could this be a blue???

Actually, I know that the Red variety isnt as popular as some others and its much harder to find any decent birds around. I am interested in mainly that the birds have good feathering for the frizzles and the best possible Red coloring I can find. Type is what I am wanting to improve on with this variety, so I am not expecting to find any typey Reds, if I do then its just icing on the cake

I would rather find adult or juvenile birds but if I have to I guess I woulc always order from a hatchery to get started.

Casey, you might want to send DANNY a PM and see if he has anything available in Red that might work for you.
