Why do people continue to call Self Blue Cochins Lavender? What could be clearer than if you breed a self blue to a self blue you get 100% self blues. Definitely not confusing. No other blue on blue breeding will yield 100% color like parents. The Lavender genetics are recognized and defined as Self-Blue in both Standards.

I agree, YET Light Brahmas are Columbian, and Buff Brahmas are Buff Columbian and Dark Brahmas.......

I guess it's an arguement over whose in charge of a breed. The breed club or the APA/ABA. Many go rabid over this. If I need to write Self-blue on my entry, I will. I will likely still call them Lavender with others in my breed club who prefer the term.

Today was my day off or work so I thought in between the clouds it would be nice to let the birds out in the grass for a bit, and decided to take a few(well, more like 46) pics. They are still dropping feathers like crazy and they are covered in pin feathers throughtout their back and cushion. Really hope they finish soon, I would like some eggs. Hope you guys enjoy.
