Cochin Thread!!!

I just love my Splash! I have my Blue Mottled boy in with the girls. Now if they would just lay some eggs...

I put up some Christmas lights in my coops back in November, it seemed to give everyone enough light to start them laying, my birds have been laying all winter~

how many eggs can a cochin bantam set on at one time approx. My hen is setting for the second time and want to hatch eggs again. last year she hatched 5 of 6 eggs. Can I put more eggs than that under her or is that about the max.

yes and I knew there was a reason I held on to him for her. He was pretty young when I sent him off. I kept 2 excellent males but a cat got one. I have one exquisite male right now that I've been breeding to all my hens

what color hens are the ones in the 11 through 13 pic. Also is the 3rd roo a gold laced. I really like him. your birds look great and very pretty.

thank you those hens are blue partridge and the red and white is a splash red columbian. the roo is a blue laced red
