Can somebody please tell me what I should charge for my black and Partridge pullets?

Steph,
At this age I'd charge $10 for pullets and $5 for cockerels......if your lucky and someone wants a cockerel. If not just give them away if you can get someone to take them.
I don't know what lines of partridge you have but I think Nancy was right on her price. Partridge are strikingly beautiful but do not do well in show.Though if I am going to get stuck with cockerels I might charge even more for the pullets or sell them younger as straight run for less. I have not followed your Black line yet. How young are you talking. I will not sell a Black for 10 ever. If a Black bird is only worth $10 I don't want my name attached as the seller. I take $10 birds to the sale barn or exotic sales where they are sold by the number and I am not putting my name on them as the seller. My name is worth more than the small amount of money difference I might get. Something to think about. Nice looking Blacks on the previous page

thanks for the comment on my blacks. 8) i am pleased with them and hope the self blues i get from them are equally as nice. I'll be picking up another self blue hen this weekend at a show as well and am super excited to get her.

as for $10 for the pullets funky feathers was asking about, if they come from unknown lines and you're just selling at a swap, that sounds about right to me. if they are birds from my own lines, i'd be likely to charge more too. but then again everything i take to the local swaps are things that i don't want to keep around and i'll take whatever i can get for them.

Hi Craig, the black pullet is Roslyn's line (Lucky Pickens), same as the blacks Ki4got posted pics of. So I expect they should be good quality. That's why I think she is worth more than $10. The Partridge pullet is from the same line, so should be just as good. I do not have a line of any color but Splash and Mille Fleur (project). I bought these as eggs from Roslyn. So with that in mind, what should I expect to get for them?

personally i would keep the black to use with your splash, to keep good type in the line. but that's just me. (splash + black = blue) and also, it's quite likely the black is split for self blue too.

if you're set on selling her, i'd say start high, you can always go down.

Ok, cochin experts I need some opinions on genders on my cochin chicks. They are 7 weeks old, and I think my frizzle is 8 weeks old now. I have comb shots of all of them and a decent body shot of one I am wondering about color on. I apologize ahead of time for picture quality. I did the best I could while holding chicks that didn't want to be held in one hand and the camera in the other. If better pictures are needed I can probably get my DH to help this weekend.

Blue chick

Black Frizzle

This one is the one I am curious on color. I am wondering if maybe it isn't blue mottled. Is there a blue mottled color in cochins?

Body shot. It is the one in front of all the white ones and the turken.

you might be better off getting a group shot of them all together like you did that last pic... or see if you can line them up on the back of a chair or something maybe. so you can get a pic from the front. that would be even better (if possible)

for me, the best way to look at cochin combs is to compare with others about the same age. sorry but from the fuzzy pics you really can't see well enough i think.

Cockerel pullet pullet. She was right that you got too close and fuzzy for a good look at them.

All of those are the same age. They seem to all have the same lack of comb development. I will try again this weekend to get some better shots. The challenge right now is they are in the big coop but in a smaller coop within the adult enclosure. I can't let them loose in the adult enclosure for pictures because of the adults. I'm figuring I can't integrate them with the adults till they are a few weeks older. I'm sure I can get my DH and kids to help pose them better this weekend.
