Beautiful!!!
Wow, I just caught up on 80 something pages. I am very sorry about everyones loses on birds and barns

And everybodys bird pictures looks great. Keep up the good work. We got some sunshine yesterday, so while my daughter napped I got some pictures snapped.

So sorry for everyone's losses. I hate to hear about predators getting birds, it really stinks. I can't resist the urge to put a plug in for my dog. We have an 8 year old Great White Pyrenees who was trained as a livestock guardian as a pup and since we have had her we have lost maybe 2 birds to predators and she caught on really quick to how they got in the pen and put an end to it. We have a GP pup coming this summer to work with her. As far as I am concerned she is worth her weight in gold to not worry about my birds at night or even when they free range during the day. The only thing she has trouble with is hawks but she still barks at them when they fly over!

Molly, don't let her fluffy sweet looks fool you, she is a ferocious defender of her birds!

Whats up with is color? He has a Dun look to him.

~Casey

Thanks everyone!!

Casey, this is one of my original blue roos. He has never had this tint to him. I started noticing it this winter. He hasnt molted since last summer so thinking he is due for a molt. None of his offspring have it. SO ?????

lgd's are great to have. my own standard poodle does his job of protecting the chickies, but hawks have been the worst, and always when i'm not home. Sunny is also my service dog, so has to go with me. whenever we have a possum or raccoon, they don't stick around long as he's pretty good at cornering them until i can get there with a rifle.

This is a splash mottled cockerel that I just love. He is 9 weeks old.

And a few of my breeders. Please excuse feather quality. They are all in the breeding pens and its muddy.

Oh, I am so sorry for your loss. Will it ever end??? I lost 23 to a Bobcat 2 weeks ago & Nancy's barn burned on Sat. Sometimes it is really hard to stay positive. {{{{HUGS}}}}

All of these losses are so sad! Especially Nancy's! I consider myself really lucky I have never had a fire! I used to run cords from my garage to my coop in the winter with lights, heat lamps and heated waterers! it is amazing I never had a fire! I have power to my new coop and it still freaks me out with all of the feather dust and wood shavings, it is so dangerous.
