Nice guy and yes, very busy. He has a ton of chickens ... lol. They've got to keep him busy. Some of the best cages and coops construction that I've seen. Like a kid walking through a candy shop.

I saw his place in 2010. His coop was the inspiration for mine. Until you see it in person it is hard to explain how good of a setup he has for breeding and growing poultry.

We gave the same feedback because I know of none better with Blue Mottled Cochins.

it is a boy.These are better pics of the colour. It does look less self Blue In these pics. But still like a self blue. Here are some pics of some i had a while back

Thanks for sharing the pics and the info! I think, based on these photos and some others, that he is indeed self-blue...

here's my frizzle batam Cochin:

My DH named her "Snoodle" after the VeggieTales character on "A Snoodle's Tale" b/c frizzles can't fly (and neither could the snoodle in the story). Anyway, I just wanted to share and get whatever info anyone's willing to share with me.

I would say talk to Casey aka Mr Ree....  he's got some awesome white frizzles and smooth.  you couldn't do better IMO. send him a pm, he may be too busy hatching babies to read the threads. LOL

I agree that Casey has some of the better ones. He originally  got his from Sheryl Butler if I understand correctly. He is just starting to get eggs now. I would start with him.

Thanks for the suggestion. I went ahead and sent Casey a PM about some hatching eggs. Hoping I hear back soon, he has amazing frizzles.

Definitely not self-blue, however I'm not certain about Splash/Blue. I would guess VERY light Blue.

That post about the Self Blue was for another chicken someone posted. It didn't add their pics into my comment cause I comment back to back. Mine are Blue Cochins. I just added the pics so they could see the difference between a Blue and a Self Blue. Or was u talkin about their chicken too??

These beauties are addictive. I couldn't resist this sweet girl. She is fitting in great in my Bantam house. I couldn't find any pullets to go with my Blue Boy so I just started getting what caught my eye.

How Pretty!! I just got started with the Cochins too. I have 2 blue and 1 black. Im not 100% sure but Im gonna guess u have a rooster. Im also guessing but he looks like a Self Blue, they are a lot lighter than a Blue.
Here is my Blue Rooster......He will be a year old in June.
