I would say MUCH older, maybe even a year or more. LF Cochins are notoriously slow to mature. Are LF white Cochins like Brahmas in that they should be eight to ten months old before they are shown? BTW I love your little guy Sarah.

They do all look like pullets so far, but (IMO) they look like bantams. Enjoy them, Cochins are so sweet and funny - especially the girls.I am sharing photos of my new cochin bantams! I recived 3 of them, the young lady did not want the buff/black mixed colors! She was not sure on age, but they still sound like "chicks" and not the older sounds!
Hopefully they are all pullets, as the lady sold them! They are super sweet, and are doing well with the older larger chickens we have, they are abotu 19 weeks old, but not bantam.
LOL and i'm partial to the boys... go figure. once they're past their 'teenaged' stage, they are such sweet gentlemen to the girls. They do all look like pullets so far, but (IMO) they look like bantams. Enjoy them, Cochins are so sweet and funny - especially the girls.
yeah, she had said bantams! They are so tiny compared to my others. I had them in a seperate pen (which was inside the run) but they manged to get out while I was at work. When I came home they where all together. They do all look like pullets so far, but (IMO) they look like bantams. Enjoy them, Cochins are so sweet and funny - especially the girls.
Yes, when I think of most of my boys I think, "He is my favorite bird." I have so many "most favorites" My big pen is on and old garden site and quite a few of my boys find pieces of old pottery and colbalt glass and call the girls over for their "presents". I have a collection of treasures.LOL and i'm partial to the boys... go figure. once they're past their 'teenaged' stage, they are such sweet gentlemen to the girls.
Mine get intigrated into the flock easier in the winter - more feathers=more warmth.yeah, she had said bantams! They are so tiny compared to my others. I had them in a seperate pen (which was inside the run) but they manged to get out while I was at work. When I came home they where all together.
Here they are with my older bantam mixes. They have had a few wings pulls but nothing to much worse than that it appears!
