This is a reasonably nice non-show quality pair. They are attractive and look like they have some very nice qualities, however the first thing that tells me they would not do well at a show is the head. Large Fowl Cochins are being bred well enough now that they have developed the classic "Asiatic head." This is a head that is VERY broad when you look straight down on it. When you look straight on and even from the side, it is very obvious that the brow is heavy and almost gives them a frowning look. I think maybe one needs to cultivate an appreciation for this look, but I can say that I have come to like it very much. It is somewhat a stamp of "show quality" birds. There are other issues that your birds have, but they are unimportant when viewing as show birds, the head is the main issue. I do like them and wouldn't be embarrassed to have them in my yard.Since you are all talking quality, I was wondering if I should continue breeding my pair? I want to breed good quality birds. Cinder is our first baby out of them, and since he is so young, I can't tell what quality he will be. I don't have any really good pics of my hen in full plumage, and she is full of pins right now taking care of Cinder. What do you think? I can take constructive criticism.They turned a year in March

That Silver Laced appears to have very nice lacing. Hard to find that, it's a tricky pattern. I can't see the rest of her, but what I can see is nice pattern. Head issues with her, but if you could find a decent male, you could breed some nice SL. (rare breed)
