Awww...good luck with your hatch! Bantam Cochin babies are the cutest things ever!!! Of course so are the adults...LOL!!!

When do standard size Cochin start to lay? My Pullet is 19 1/2 weeks and I saw her do a slight squat when I went to pet her today. Getting supper excited!!

My girls are almost 7 months old and have not laid yet, but I think one could start any day now.

My summer hatched pullets begin laying in the spring.

 

[Black Cochin Bantams]

I unplugged my incubators in July so I would not have winter chicks again. I let the Columbian pair by the wall hatch out the last chick hatched here in 2014. The other pictures are of the Black pullets I saved for myself. All have something I like. I especially like the one with the cushion towards the camera for her cushion-feather width.
