Cochin Thread!!!

My husband thinks he's very ugly at the moment. It's funny, because we bought this Bantam Frizzle Cochin and a Buff Silkie (both supposed to be pullets) and they are the best of friends, inseparable. They start screaming, if I take one out. Any ideas if Frizzle Cochin and Silkie's make a good match?

When I had a silkied bantam cochin (it is like a normal one except the feathers are fluffy like a silkie) pullet and a silkie cockerel, they were best friends. But, if you have one rooster and one hen your hen may lose some feathers on her back or head from the rooster mating, so it might be best to get more pullets for him.

I have 18 chickens all pure of different heavy breeds and 4 Khaki Campbell females and no one will sit on eggs. I've sacrificed several dozen eggs hoping one of the girls would go broody but I think the trait has been bred out of many of the breeds so we are looking for a full sized Cochin pullet or hen in the Inland Empire\Norco area. If anyone in this area has a full sized Cochin pullet or hen for sale we would love to have her. -DB

Sizzles.... I've got my frizzle boy with two silkies right now. Just waiting on the girls to start laying.... don't know much about genetics, so it might be a generation or 2 before I get my sizzles, but that is what I am looking forward to.

This is my 3ish week old white frizzle cochin bantam. I think it may be a boy.
Any thoughts?

I can't find self blue Cochins anywhere except hatcheries! Even the Cochin breeders website has no one listed that breeds them. And Ideal Hatchery does not have any available until mid-June. Does anybody have any available before that that is somewhat close to Oklahoma City, Dallas or Western Arkansas? I am willing to drive around to get them. Frustrated..
