Well so much for any 19 day hatch for my Mottled Cochin Bantams. Yesterday was day 21 and I came home from work to cheep cheep. Today DH texted me at work to say another hatched and one was trying (still in zip mode) here on day 22. So far the two that are out seem full of energy and are fine. Little bit that popped out today is in the incubator standing straight up like a roo and flapping it's itty bitty wings like its trying to fly. Little baby 21 day (no name yet) had to be rocked to sleep in my hand (the only place it will stop cheeping up a storm). I finally got it nestled up with a sock under the heat, every time I stepped away it came out cheeping for me sanding in the open….can anyone say spoiled rotten at one day old.

Sizzles.... I've got my frizzle boy with two silkies right now. Just waiting on the girls to start laying.... don't know much about genetics, so it might be a generation or 2 before I get my sizzles, but that is what I am looking forward to.

She wasn't a sizzle. She was a cuckoo cochin bantam, but with soft fluffy feathers like a silkie.

Do u guys think this is a good quality standard Blue Cochin?? I know her blue might be a little sloppy...

So today my frizzle cochin bantam decided to go broody. I gave her 5 bantam eggs she happily accepted. If she stays and I really think she will how many eggs can she. Sit on?
