Cochin Thread!!!

Nice I'll be bringing back two more hora bators home so I'll have a total of three one for a hatcher and the other two just for incubation
Cool. I going to get a brinsea incubator hopefully in the next month. Get a few hatches in before the jubilees lay. They are around 4 months. I have another incubator but its one of those foam ones that have a plastic shell.

These are my first Cochins. They are Silver Laced, 5-6 weeks old. Can anyone offer a guess as to the sex? The first and last are photos of two chicks that look almost exactly alike. The middle one is a photo of the largest chick and she(?) is mostly black.

Are these large fowl or bantams? They appear to be LF. Be very patient with them either way, as it takes a LONG time for their pattern to "finish." Large fowl are very difficult to sex unless you are experienced with them. I wouldn't even begin to venture a guess at this point, they are just to young, bantams are easier to sex (for me).
