I just got them yesterday and the white one is looking to possibly go broody. That was fast..

I hope my bunch catch the broody bug soon. Have 20 in the incubator but want a few to hatch and raise them too. Only thing is we aren't sure if my rooster is for sure getting his business done. (Bad leg but he is trying on one hen I have seen.)So I am waiting to see if eggs in the bator are good from them. Half are from my stock and the other half belong to a friend with more cochin who lost her male right before we began to collect eggs to incubate. He passed one day before.

Mine are large fowl. And what is a brown red? Partridge?

Brown Red and Birchen are both extended black pretty much the same thing except for one difference. Brown Reds have the gold gene and thus reddish gold hackles, saddles, and lacing on their breast; and Birchens have the silver gene which give them their silver hackles, saddles, and breast lacing. Partridge is different.

Hi I have all standard color Cochins, and LF I am looking for some info and advice on how to make nonstandard colors.
Like gold laced, silver laced, partridge, red, and barred.
What colors should I mix?

I was wondering what her color was? It's really a pretty color and I hope to hatch more like her color. She has a blue dad and the mom could either be white, or one of my 2 blue hens.

I believe that your chick is self blue I can't see it's whole body but if it is all the same color it is a self blue very nice, it's hard to get self blue.
