Cochin Thread!!!

Here we are 5 weeks later and my cochin girl is back to sitting in the nest. She has adapted to walking with her head turned sideways so that he one good eye is always facing forward now.

3 week old frizzle from my blue bantam frizzle cochin roo, over either my white silkie or my barred bantam cochin hen. I can't tell the girls eggs apart, so I'm not sure who the mommy is :D

I wrap each egg in a paper towel then I put them in a egg carton the paper towel fills any empty space. Then I fill the box with plastic bags they are soft but hold everything in place.
then I write all over the box this side up, do not flip, do not stack, do not X-Ray, Hatching eggs

I'm a Mama wahoo. My hand raised Herbert (Mottled Cochin) and his bevy of 4 beauties have been making the most of spring, there was a high fertility rate in the eggs I tested. I woke this morning to find 7 babies in the incubator with another hatching right now.

I cant wait for the bantam cochin chicks we ordered to come in next week. I used to raise chickens as a teenager and recently decided to get back into it. I have some mottled, blue, and barred chicks on the way. Can I ask what size breeder pens people like to use for their bantam cochins. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
