Where did you both purchase your girls?

Scotts Valley Feed in Scotts Valley, CA. I believe they get some of their birds from Ideal Hatchery. The Buff Orpingtons came from Ideal. I didn't ask about the Cochins. I was so excited to hear they still had some that I was trying to decide how many and what color. Wishing I had taken the buff one they had. They are just so sweet and friendly and so fancy w/ those feathered feet.

Oh well, one of mine will go broody and that gives me something to look forward to. A mama Cochin raising up some babies.

Mine hang out on my deck every day. I always say they are lounging in their "onesies"

I love the sound of her feathers dragging on the patio. She sounds like a lady who's trousers are too long for her.

A friend of mine got them for me from a hatchery in Idaho I think. She just told me I was getting chickens and brought them over! lol I'll ask her and let you know.

I've got 3 chicks that will be 3 weeks old tomorrow that are all half cochin. One hatched with feathered legs and at about 2 weeks old another shows a tiny bit of leg feathering. The 3rd is clean legged. Will get 3 week pics tomorrow, they are growing so fast!

I'm not sure. I'm not sure where you are. I think when I googled it that I saw others posting about tractor supply. If not, try your vet.
