Not dumb at all. I'm very interested, also. I've heard about juveniles looking "hocky", as Tom says, and then maturing just fine. As so many of us have to make our culling choices when they are juveniles, I would very much like to see some pics of some that "look hocky" but aren't. Maybe some comparison pics of juveniles that actually have vulture hocks vs those that just look hocky. I'm blessed (or maybe cursed?) with some at 2 months that are so heavily feathered that I truthfully have no idea what I'm looking at.
I'm not sure whether I'm overly cautious or overly paranoid.
