Jessica, that is EXACTLY what my beautiful GL cockerel Calypso looked like the 2nd night after I put him in the main coop. Not sure if it was the hens or roos. He hid in the corner for the next week or so - sometimes they just have to establish their own rank and file. It's been a couple of months now - his comb is all healed, the feathers are growing back in very nicely on the back of his head, and he is back to being the absolute sweetest and friendliest bird I have EVER raised - including all the girls. He holds his own in the coop - no longer shy, and gets along well with everyone.
I hope Louie fairs just as well.
Yes, but the only thing is that Louie was one of the first chickens I EVER had and so he is almost two years old and has been with all of the other chickens that are in the coop with him now for almost a year. It just seems odd.
