Looks like Lemon-Blue to me, and I suspect that the splash is also Lemon-blue. Do you have a side shot of the splash bird? I'm basing my guess on the belief I'm seeing some buff colored feathers on the body.

I think the really dark one is a rooster.

I posted pics of my LF Splash Cochin before, but now that he/she is older, I was wondering if everyone still thinks pullet? It looks a lot like my roos when they were that age too...

. I would love to know what everyone thinks.... I also added a pic of my blue roo simply because he's gorgeous and I want to show him off!!

looks very pullety EXCEPT for that red comb and waddle. And, in the pic of him holding the bug, it looks like he's calling the hens

I've never raised blue/black/splash and the varieties I've raised are pretty recognizable by their color/pattern as to which sex they are by this age. http://www.flickr.com/photos/24441241@N03/5196876683/in/pool-771445@N22/ Here's a pic of splash cochin cockerel. See the hackle and saddle feathers... how distinctively masculine they are. If this bird is over at least 3-4 months old, then I would lean toward pullet because there are no distinctive hackle and saddle feathers. If younger than 4 months I would have to say cockerel because a pullet's comb would still be pale colored. hmm.. .mystery

Thanks everyone, I was leaning towards roo because the comb and waddle are pretty red, he/she is about 2.5 months old now. I guess I'll have to wait to know for sure, I'm hoping it's a pullet because I can't keep 2 roosters. :-( And I just love the color.

Just starting out , but have some awsome looking chickens,Here is a pic of my frizzle:cool:
