So sorry to hear about your older white girl. George is surely missing her.
I have an old lady white girl and her son is quickly catching up at 6 years old. I have only a small breeding pen but am growing up some from them to add back. So hard to find gorgeous whites.

Joan, so sorry to hear about Martha. I'm sure someone will be able to provide a new mate for George. Casey (Mr. Ree) always has some beautiful whites.

X2. PM Casey.

Some of the best whites in the country are in the Denver area. B eany Schrader. I know he hatched extras for Crossroads.

Being here in Denver, Beany was my first thought, but I wasn't sure if he ships. Duh - I should probably check my CI Breeder's Directory!!

Do cochins normally have longgg nails because when I got Puff, she had awkwardly long nails. I didnt take a pic though, I clipped them down just a little so I dont hit the root. This is my newest addition and only cochin I own and shes a sweet heart:)

Part of proper care is trimming their nails once a year. When nails get too long you can trim them like you did. Cochins tend to not wear down their nails as fast as they grow.

Tom Roebuck is in Virginia and also has good Whites.

Thanks Gail for that tip, it never crossed my mind. I've never had a problem before so I just assumed it would be good, but I know you're right, I've had it do that with other sites.

Oh ok, thanks, out of all my chickens, in a couple years I never had to trim but I got her a few weeks ago and the nails were super long. I'll be sure to trim yearly. Thanks again
