Cochin Thread!!!

cockerel that I kept from late last year. I think he has some real potential :)

Handsome boy~

I'll join. If you browse the Mille Fleur thread, I have a ton of pics of my birds there. I only have one LF Cochin. I have eggs on the way from Allbreeds, who got her stock from Bo. My single Cockerel is from a pair Tom used to own.

Please forgive the state of my coop. The four Orpington boys gave it a coat of bloody paint (they are no longer in there) and I haven't been able to clean the coop because it's been froze. Now that I have nice weather, I have to build a coop for the bantam Cochins,

Sterling:

I witnessed the girls take random tail feathers out. He is usually a bit fuller.

He looks pinched here, but he's not. Again, he has missing feathers - more on the left side than the right. Look at those pants!

I just loved the way the sun hit his lacing here.

Critiques please? He is 7 months old now. I figured he may be a bit long in the back, but with some of his tail missing, I don't know. I do know what his parents look like in person, and he's only about 2/3 the size of them both. His mom was huge! They were nice and full and round. I am hoping he continues to fill out. I am assuming they do take some time to reach their full potential... ?

And...

Just because Byron is my fave (and nastiest) bantam Cochin.

I want to get new pictures of my Mottled boys (I have 2) because I am unaware of their breeding and want critiques on them, too. They have grown some since these pictures were taken over a month ago. It's time to weed out the undesirables...
