Cochin Thread!!!

Craig,
I've been trying to upload your pictures for the past hour and can't get it to work. I have no idea why this is so difficult. I've been able get some of mine up, but every once in a while I run into one that won't work.
This picture loading is certainly NOT one of the better things about the format of BYC.

If he doesn't molt I am planning on showing him, his father, and a whole lot more Cochins at the CI Western National.

I have been trying to post a post a picture for weeks and now may have finally done it. My only Partridge Cockerel.

Can someone help me with identifying what color variation of Cochins I have? I'm new to this and need some help. They are almost 4 weeks old.
This first one is the black and tan one a Gold Laced?

Sorry this one was hard to geta picture of! The one I need identified is hiding to the left with orange, white, and black. I'm stumped!

And lastly, the one on the very right that is brown and white. Is it partridge? It certainly is the most friendly of the bunch!

Thank you all for helping out the newbie! I'm loving my Cochins so far!

Yes, you definitely have a Golden Laced in there! The orange/white/black mixed ones are usually Mille Fleur/Calico projects. I really can't see enough of the last one to give an opinion. But what concerns me in the last picture is the totally bare leg/foot sticking out - that doesn't look like a Cochin leg to me.
Did you hatch these from a mixed lot of eggs?

How beautiful. I just love the color contrasts on Partridge boys.

Aspen,

I couldn't agree more! I have gotten a lot of help from different BYCers! And some of these folks if they don't know can guide you to who can.
BYC is a great place to be!

Thanks to all of the helpful BYC folks!
Tony

How awesome is that! Congrats! Do you have any pictures? I will be contacting him to get advice I'm sure. BYC is so awesome, and so are all of it's members! I truly love all the expert advice that is freely given! Thank y'all so much!!

Rode out the storms - was ready to grab my babies (and the kids too!) (haha) and run to the basement, but the tornados stayed just south of us, here in Indiana. What a mess. So glad we didnt lose power. I dont know how Id keep all my babies warm! Now, after all that crazy weather - we are getting snowed on. :/
I just want to start the run fencing so i can turn my guys out here before to long! They are just over three weeks now, feathering great, minus my little runt, who is so dang cute. She is still the size of a hatchling, but is finally getting wing tips lol
