They are!! That is my favorite part about them!

Good to know, I was hoping that they were just sweet like that. Maybe I will add a couple more to my flock, Her name is Sweetie pie, so appropriate.
She is my 4 year old's best girl.

Okay, why did that post like 27 times? Sorry guys.

Humm don't know, but don't worry about it. Maybe you clicked the submit button a few times as it was trying to get it's act together. Sometimes mine is painfully slow and I get very irritated with it. Sorry to say, it's a problem I've encountered since they "upgraded" the site. I really wish they had never done that, I can't see that we as users have gained a thing.
OK, sorry that's my bellyache for the day.

Hey guys, you'll never guess what I have! A 6 day old chick that is practicing his baby crow!

I have my itty bitty babies in my living room.............yes you heard me, it's true, anyway I had just come out of the bedroom this AM and was checking the kids and no more than stepped away and I heard the distinctive baby crow that we all enjoy hearing from our young boys as they first try out their vocal cords, only this was a VERY tiny crow. At first I thought it must be from one of the adolescents outside, but that didn't compute as I hadn't even been out to let them out. So, I stood there for a few minutes and heard it several more times. I began to track it down and sure enough it was a little teeny weeny Birchen baby boy just crowing/screeching his little head off.

I've never seen such a thing, of course maybe some of you that have been breeding longer than me may have, but it's a first for me. I've seen 'um at 3 or 4 wks, but NEVER THIS little.
Just thought I'd share my morning laugh. Ahhhh, how can anyone be in a bad mood around chickens.

I just had to share my 2 1/2 month old boy! I don't see as many golden laced. Are they just not as popular as others?

I know of only a few working on them in Bantam or LF. Decent stock to start with is so scarce. Even hatchery quality stock seems to be limited. Silver Laced is in the same state of neglect. I think people would have them and enjoy them if they could find them.
