which are the roos and hens? white is usually recessive to black, so bred to a black you'll get black, to a blue you'll get blue or black. black to blue again you'll get both, blue to blue you'll get black blue and splash.

so no, i doubt you'd get any whites, probably mostly blue and black.

I only have blue now. I was hoping to get at least pair each of white, blue and black. But thanks.

All my little blue cochins are growing gangbusters!
I still haven't figured out which are the cockerels and which are pullets but am enjoying their antics with the mealworm treats.
My older cochins are really feathering out nicely and definitely have a cockerel and two pullets in one pen and a cockerell and five pullets in the other.

Hi, I am almost positive that I have 2 roos but would love to hear what Cochin owners have to say. These pictures are of Clementine and Mary Gold. They are about 2 and a half months old. I thought they were pullets, but Mary Gold crowed this morning

. They are both so sweet. They are White Bantams Cochins. I cannot have roos here. What do you think?

You have 2 Cockerels they won't be roosters until they are 1 year old but will start crowing at 3-4 months of age.They may start crowing within a month.
