Cochin Thread!!!

hi yall

just figered i would pop in and see what yall though about my bantam bared cochins

I'm a cochin beginner - but I think this bird is lovely!

wow. looks like everything's 4.5-5+ hours away... bleh. i hate driving that far.

Of course the one in Jefferson, TN (AKA: The Closest) is on August 4th - not only is the hubby working but we'll be moving within days of that.

Not to mention, it's kind of short notice - LOL.

TYPE The bird should look like a ball with a tail and head. Wide and under 2 lbs on Bantam. No white feathers on a black or blue and no white feathers on a Black or blue. Reddish eye color. Yellow feet. When in doubt post a picture and ASK for honest feedback. Go to a show and see what we actually exhibit.

when u say feet, are you talking shanks? Or the bottom of feet? I have one that has dark shanks but is light yellow under feet...is that a miscoloration for them on legs? I'm very new to cochins and can't find a show near me...I'm near Dallas.

very pretty. i've never been a big fan of barred but it's growing on me. 8)

i was not a big fan ethere but when i got these i chandged my mind now i love the bared LOL
