Disagree on previous advice given on silver laced. You can use a Columbian male on SL. You do not have the laced feathers in the first generation but will start to in the 2nd if done right. Both are Silver Based. Do not use a Black on SL. The SL will not do you much good towards your goal but
if you like yours like I like mine you will just keep her and enjoy.
For what you want to do. You need a Columbian male, a Buff Columbian male, and a Blue male.
You need Columbian hens and or Buff Columbian hens as well as BBS hens. The just plain buffs won't do you much good. The Columbian hens can be used to produce Columbians if bred to a Columbians or Buff Columbian hens if bred to a Buff Columbian male. The male chicks from this cross are to never be used in future breeding(cull). A great article in the Cochin International website under the education section on breeding Buff Columbians. I have a Buff male from the writer of that article.
