I have birds available, but cant ship until I get some boxes ordered. Money is a bit tight right now to order boxes for the next couple weeks.

I saw one of my cockerels mate a pullet and he did the whole thing backwards. His head was at her tail and he didn't even suspect he was doing anything wrong!!!! I hope he figures it out!

First time I have seen this! I will have to save this!
I have always heard it is impossible to sex cochins chicks so I just wait to see who grows up to be who... I do think that my eye is pretty good at judging my own chicks.

A few pictures I took today~ It was a gorgeous day, a little cool and windy but the sun was shining. Everyone got their pens cleaned and had cornbread before bedtime

You have some pretty birds there! I really like that mottled hen 7th pic down!

Thank you, I take a lot of pride in them. Im really happy with how this years hatch have come along. Hope to meet you sometime, since we dont live that far from one another.

Looked at my mottled cochins that hatched 10/27 and none of them have anything but little pins sticking out at this point and are all more or less the same. Maybe it doesn't work with all breeds of chickens, but not sure?

Thank you, very much. I dont show as often as I would like, or get to show at certain shows I would like to attend, but in the mean time I am just enjoying my birds. I know that when things get better, I will be able to show more, but until then, I can focus more on perfecting my birds and working on my Reds.

Warning! Cute cochin overload below! Took my mottled cochin chick photos tonight and am very happy with how they turned out. Especially had fun with the macro and getting those wide little cochin noggins. If you read this, thanks for the eggs Amy - they are such cutie pies. I ended up with four black mottled and one blue mottled. One of the black mottled was being a trouble-maker for the group photo, so she was in my lap.
