I think I am about to purchase the rugged ranch run BUT plan to reinforce it with hardware cloth. Did you end up purchasing it? Do you like it?

I did end up buying it and actually was finishing up putting it together when I got your message. I like it...but don’t love it. I am comfortable with the gaps in the wire because I am in the process of putting up an electrified fence around all of the coops/runs, but I would have been really annoyed having to put up hardwire wire after the fact. It would probably would Be just as easy and less expensive to build your own run with hardware wire. It is pretty solid, although my bottom door has to be carefully adjusted to close properly. All in all I guess I’m happy, but haven’t made my mind up yet...

You will love your chickens, i started out with 4, then it was 8, then it was 12, then 14...now its 17.......i range from 1yr old hens to 4 week old chicks.....i have 4 different coop set ups for the different ages....cant wait for them all to be intergrated.....i am finding it a bet difficult at times.....but they are great...love them all..i have 4 barred rocks, 2 white plymouth rocks, 2 olive eggers, 2 ameraucanas, 2 easter eggers, 2 silver laced wyandottes and 3 buff orphingtons.......so good luck.....enjoy!!!

Well I’ve almost finished up hatching for the year... I went from 0 to 36 chickens in 2 months with about 12 more that should hatch by next Thursday. I’ve got legbars, French Black Copper Marans, exchequer leghorns, buff silkies, white silkies, Black silkies and paint silkies. Here are some pics of my favorites!

i am up to 30 now...just got 4 silkies and 2 frizzles yesterday

One of the silkies didnt make it last nite...think it got smothered with them all huddled together..the 2 frizzles are a bit larger than the silkies..so sad

I’m sorry. I’ve hatched a couple of silkie chicks that for some reason or another just didn’t make it.
