Cock Feather Thieves at Fairs - Gain from our experience

Wow I knew about the trend but didn't know they were actually stealing feathers from birds at shows!! My golden cuckoo roosters sure have some beautiful hackle feathers...hmmm.

A wire cutters will do the job on any show bird cage i've seen.

At the Missouri show your birds won't be judged if you lock the cage. Makes for a long day hovering around your cage.

they're here. I'm in SW MO and I've got some, and half a dozen women at work do, not to mention many more of thier kids.
I figured, like most of this stuff, they're coming from asia. haven't seen any offered for sale that look like roo tails.

I am saving up my molted turkey feathers though. I figure soon I'll have a lifetime supply of quill pens.

sound like the caught the culprit but didn't do any more than make her exit the fair? that hardly seems right.

I'm a senior in high school. Seriously, about half the girls I know have feathers in their hair.. & if they're not in their hair, then they HAVE to have feather earrings, hair clips, ect.
I think it's ridiculous that someone would STEAL them...

I swear, the stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me.

I agree, chop off the ponytail, maybe then she'll know how those poor birds feel.
