Cockerel or pullet!?

His coloring screams cockerel to me but I am terrible at this. I do not see hackle or saddle feathers saying cockerel.

It could be a late bloomer cockerel, or an early maturing pullet.

Mom is a small single comb, barred(similar to this one) with a green/purple Iridescent feather on wing tip. Dad is mostly black white barred w wheaten neck(kind of similar to the one in the background)

It could be a late bloomer cockerel, or an early maturing pullet.

I’ve only just recently questioned it because of the different between the siblings but they’re half siblings and I noticed this ones mom has a pretty big, red comb for a hen
