I have always been a avid believer in the healthful aspects of cod liver oil.

I have taken a tablespoon daily for the last 65 years. I have the body and mind if a person half my age. I credit cod liver oil.

I have been feeding my birds Cod liver oil for nearly 15 years... I admit I do not get every bird every day as some run and hide when they see the bottle.

But I know it works, I have one old girl that is 12 years old and still lays an egg everyday.

Because I am a tree hugger, I have started to question the wisdom of killing so many valuable cod for their liver oil.

I am thinking of changing to Dux liver oil. Dux like water, they simply pollute it with their very existence...

I think I would be “killing two birds with one stone” literally, by switching to dux liver oil.

Does anyone else give their birds dux liver oil? Do you use it yourself?

Thank you for your help on this pressing problem...

I think your chickens would like daily treats of Duck Pate.

Would a dux pate have the same nutritional and immune producing qualities as dux liver oil?

Also would it take more or less dux to make the pate?

Studies have shown the more dux removed from the atmosphere, the less oxygen they use, leaving more for the rest of us.

Put that pate on a nice cracker & they'll very likely come to you. This would be so much easier than having to chase them around with a spoonful of gelatinous goo.

Are you sure that’s the same...

I remember the joy my mother seemed to get by forcing me to swallow that thick oil... how her face would beam with a broad smile as I tried to rid myself of the taste.
