That’s weird, I got a notification for this thread today too. I don’t watch this one, and I don’t think I have ever posted here - strange times

May 14. I figure they'll get here the 15th or 16th. I need to talk to the people at the Post Office and let them know chickies are coming! And give them my phone number. And find out when I could get there to pick them up, if someone will be there early.

Maybe I should take them some cookies... in chicken shape?

I think they usually include an extra chick, one that’s the same as something you ordered (pullet if all pullets and one of the breeds you ordered). But check the week before your hatch anyway, occasionally they add more once they see how many they actually have going into lockdown! (I’ll keep my eyes peeled too, I’m hoping they add the exceptionally rare package back on to my hatch week!)

We're adding onto the coop for these girls (yes, ordered all pullets), and I won't be out of room, going by the 4/10 sf per bird rule of thumb. If they send 4, as I ordered, I'll have 10 birds and roughly 60 sf in the coop.

I can't easily add on to the run. It's at 164 sf, and that's still plenty for 10 chickens. I would have had 11, had I not lost a hen, and I was planning that I'd have 11 birds total.

An even dozen would be nice... ya know? Just sayin'.
