They kept saying a couple months ago not to make multiple appointments, as that ties up resources. I'm beginning to think I'm going to register in every blankety-blank way I can.

We can't go visit Hubby's dad until we get the shot(s). His dad and stepmom have had theirs, but I'm not comfortable driving to NC until we've had ours. It's usually a two day trip; a one day drive is getting to be too much.

I also told Hubby that I CAN'T go if I have unintegrated chicks. I'm not putting that on the neighbor. We either have to go before the chicks get here (which is sometime in June), or we have to go after the flock is ok together. Or he goes by himself. So this is starting to get stressful.

Our state is using an online scheduling system called my turn. It finds appointments available in my area. When I used it, the appointments were filling up very quickly!

There's a fire in the Bosque (woods by the river) many miles downstream, but upon opening the screened doors and windows this morning to let the fresh air in there's a decided smoky smell. That plume of smoke must've shot straight up the valley. Also things are a little overcast, which is fine as I'm in no hurry to get outside and water. Sitting here with coffee is a nice way to ease into the morning.

Participating with the Easter Hatch-along. 9 eggs set and thus far today (hatch day) only one barely pip. Where are the usual overachievers? Normally I have several stumbling around in the hatcher by now.

Morning Club. Brought another pot.
Little cludy here about 65 outside but no water from sky yet.
Going to teach the littles to use nipples they bury the water in shavings.. Think my broody wanna be can go back to the coop now..
