It’s 79 now at 10:20 pm. I went and checked on the chickens around 4 pm and they all came running to the gate so I think they did fine today. It’s only going to get hotter for a couple days so I’m going to freeze some ice blocks for them.

I am worried, if it does get hotter, then the run will be well over 100, I may be freaking out soon- the surrounding temp may be 95 but the concentrated heat in the run ,100

I think it got hotter up your way. I’m not sure what it got to today, I had two little grandkids and they kept me hopping! Can you set up a mister or something for your birds? I’m doing ice blocks in shallow plant saucers.

I dont have a mister, just a sprinkler, I would have wet-muddy- hot chicken hahahahah,

Good morning everyone Have a great Sunday and coffee is ready .

We spent yesterday outside getting the drip irrigation started, but it was too hot and we decided to finish it today. We are doing pots on the deck so I can have another job to do.
